How Do I Get to Baggage Claim at the Portland, ME Airport?
When arriving at the airport check to make sure you have your reservation, identification card and all carry-on items. If you are traveling with luggage, follow signs for baggage claim. Next, descend the escalator or stairs to reach the baggage claim area. The baggage claim area is just beyond the Information Desk at the Portland International Jetport. There are only three baggage claim carousels: Carousel A, Carousel B and Carousel C. Look to see what flight each carousel is holding and then retrieve your luggage. Where are the Portland International Jetport Car Rental Facilities Located?
To get to the airport rental car facility at Portland International Jetport upon arrival, descend down the escalator or stairs toward the baggage claim area. Just before the baggage claim area, exit the automatic double glass doors. This is directly across from the moose. Then carefully cross the street. Once across the street, follow the pedestrian walkway to the rental car facility, which is at the very end of the short pedestrian walkway. All car rental companies are located in a single consolidated rental car facility just outside the terminal building. The companies within the car rental facility are Avis, Budget, Dollar, Hertz, National, Alamo and Enterprise.
It’s important to note, the Portland International Jetport rental car facility does not, at this time, allow car rental company loyalty program members to skip the counter and head straight to their rental car.
