But, before you can venture out to explore the Tampa Bay area, you first need to know how to find the rental cars at the Tampa International Airport.
In 2018, the Tampa International Airport built a brand new Consolidated Rental Car Center (CONRAC). The CONRAC is accessed from the main terminal through the SkyConnect Train that provides easy access directly to the car rental counters and the garage that houses the rental cars. The following auto rental companies operate at the TPA CONRAC: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar Enterprise, Hertz, National, Thrifty, Ace, Executive, Fox, Payless Sixt, ZipCar and Advantage.
Additionally, these car rental companies can be accessed through a company provided shuttle that picks up at the CONRAC: Carl’s Van Rentals, Florida Van Rentals and Easirent.

Step by Step Directions to Pick Up Your Tampa Rental Car
Step 1: After arriving at the Tampa International Airport, take the train from airside terminals to the main terminal. If you have baggage to collect, proceed to the first floor to gather your belongings.
Step 2: Follow signs for Ground Transportation / Rental Cars to arrive at the SkyConnect access points.
Step 3: Board the SkyConnect train and exit at the Consolidated Rental Car Center (CONRAC).
Step 4: Follow signage to your car rental company’s counter if they are located in the facility.

Step 6: After processing your rental, or if you have access to skip the counter, follow signs to the attached garage to pick up your rental car.

That’s it! For all rentals, take the SkyConnect train to the CONRAC. For on site companies, find the counter. For off-site company, go to the Remote Curbside pickup to await the company provided shuttle.
